Based in Lynefield Park, Ashington, we have been a part of the MJ Hickey Plant Hire & Contracts Ltd group of companies since 1957. We specialise in major groundwork projects: demolition, site clearance, recycled aggregates, plant hire, and skip hire.
Our company operates its waste transfer station and aggregate recycling facility, ensuring efficient and environmentally responsible operations. All staff are highly trained and experienced within their specialist areas.
We provide full operational contract management in line with recognised industry standards, holding BS EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System accreditation, BS EN ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems accreditation, and FORS Silver accreditation.

R Thornton have a fleet of skip wagons for delivering and collecting “open loading” and “roll-on roll-off” general waste skips.
